Covid-19 Update

City of Sin: The Edinburgh Charity Ball

Last Updated: 17th March

With a very heavy heart we are unfortunately cancelling this year’s Edinburgh Charity Ball due to the continued spread and impacts of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have not taken this decision lightly, but in line with advice provided by WHO, the Scottish Government, and NHS Scotland, it is the safest possible option. The health and wellbeing of our community is of foremost importance at Edinburgh RAG and the advice of public health professionals to adhere to social distancing must be followed for the foreseeable future.

What should I do if I develop Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms?

In line with NHS Scotland’s advice, if you have developed a new continuous cough and/or a fever/high temperature in the last 7 days, stay at home for 7 days from the start of your symptoms even if you think your symptoms are mild. If you live with someone who has developed symptoms you should stay at home for 14 days from the start of their symptoms, even if you don’t have symptoms yourself. Medical advice for self-isolation can be found at NHS Inform

What happens next?

All tickets for the Edinburgh Charity Ball will be eligible for refund. Full information about this process will be emailed to the email address you used to purchase your ticket shortly.

I have more questions!

Please feel free to message us on the Edinburgh RAG Facebook page and we will reply as soon as we can.

All of us at Edinburgh RAG are devastated to not go ahead with this event, and celebrate all of the amazing fundraising efforts of students over the last year. We look forward to welcoming you back to future events and would like to thank you for your understanding during this uncertain time.
