About Meadows Marathon

Meadows Marathon is an annual student-led running event held on the Meadows in Edinburgh to raise money for local, national and international charities. The event is organised by Edinburgh RAG, an initiative of Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal (ESCA), and has raised over £200,000 for charity since its inception in 2007. It now incorporates 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon and Relay into a packed day of running each March. You can find out more about Meadows Marathon here.

Application Notes

We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent committee to lead the 2021 event. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to develop skills and gain experience working on a large-scale event. While each role has different responsibilities, all members of the committee are expected to work collaboratively to contribute to the general planning of the event. A weekly meeting time will be agreed (from Sept onwards) but further subcommittee and external meetings will be conducted further to this. The committee will be supported by a staff member who will attend all regular meetings.

Responsible for the set up and maintenance of the registration platform and on the day participants.


The Sponsorship officer is responsible for all sponsorship of the event.


Organises the Meadows Spring Clean. Offers support to other roles.
